My work had a health assessment mini-clinic set up today, so I got my cholesterol tested for the first time in a year. It has actually been almost exactly one year since my last test. I wasn’t completely in a fasted state though, which could have affected my triglycerides levels, but I’m not too worried about it. Let’s compare numbers.

TODAY, September 24th, 2010:
Total Cholesterol: 179
HDL: 79
Triglycerides: 72 (could be slightly elevated due to non-fasted number)
LDL: 86

September 25th 2009:
Total Cholesterol: 198
HDL: 68
Triglycerides: 56
LDL: 118

I’m busy at work, so I’ll try to break down what all this means later on. I was just too excited about getting this test. Hum, what does it say about me that I get giddy about getting my cholesterol tested? :-p

Oh, and my HDL really kicks ass BTW. :-D
