Humans and NonHumans In My Life

Since this blog is over a year old, I figure I need to *finally* make a post about the beings in my life (and I’ll update it as beings enter/leave). So, this is my reference list for my blog readers, both new and old. :-)

Humans:

QB -
This is my loving and supportive husband. He, obviously, makes the most human appearances in my blog by far. He is the greatest love of my life. I’m so lucky to experience love like this since so many people never do. <3 <3 <3

Amy -
My young niece – born in the Fall of 2008. She doesn’t come into this blog too often since she lives far away, but I like to take about her from time to time. Very intelligent young girl….takes after her aunt! :-p

Emm -
This is good friend of mine and QB. She is a health nut like me, and we love to go Wegmans shopping together. She and I experienced a somewhat scary event during the Summer of 2010 that brought us even closer.

The Grand K -
This is my really hip grandmother. She’s big into genealogy, loves Facebook, and loves to learn. I’m told I got a lot of my personality from her.

Ms. Green -
This is my Therapist as of January 2010. Since I’m an easily stressed individual, I’ve decided to seek therapy to help me learn to better control my stress. Stress is more about your reaction to events in your life rather than the events themselves!

The People Tree -
There are several other people (~10-15) that we may do something social with every once and a while, but they don’t make a regular appearance in real life. I’m really not a very socially oriented person, so most of my socialization occurs online. This is something I need to work on, and will be dealing with this hermit like behavior in therapy. LOL. But, until I interact with any of these people more often, I’m just going to refer to plucking someone off the People Tree to hang out with. Ha.

Non-Humans:

Basil -
This is one of my canine fur babies, and one of the great loves of my life. He is very small at 5-5.5lbs. He is 75% MinPin and 25% Yorkie. He was the runt of two runts, which accounts for his very small stature, and was born in April of 2004. This pup is going to break my heart into a billion pieces when he leaves me.

Chicky -
She is my second fur child, and is not only a love of mine but a great love of Basil as well. She is pure chihuahua, but you would never guess that if judging by her sweet relaxed personality. She is one chill pup. I joked that when I got her, she was Basil’s dog since he needed a friend, and they have proven to be the best-est of best friends. I their either one would be lost without the other. She was born in October of 2004, so they are very close in age.

Snakey -
This is my oldest animal companion, my amelanistic corn snake. I got her not long after she hatched in September of 2002! She was barley longer and thicker than a regular pencil. Now she’s several feet long and much thicker. She’s a very sweet snake who is very curious about her environment. She keeps tabs on who belongs and who doesn’t and always comes out to sniff the new people.

The Chickens & Guinea Fowl-
Since we moved into our old cabin, we have started keeping chickens and guineas. They are GREAT for bug control. And they are fun to listen too. Sadly, all of our first batch were taken out by predators in the Summer of 2010. We are on our second group now which consist of 2 roosters, 7 hens of all breeds and mixed breeds, and 4 guinea fowl (3 females, 1 male).
