Who WD-40′d My Back?

Posted on 20 December 2010 by sie

Seriously. My back seems to move more freely now. And today was only my 3rd day of  Yoga. WOW! I am feeling my body loosen. My tight always aching back is not so tight anymore, and it feels so so good. My leg muscles are also getting a good stretch too. I swear I can feel tendons around hips loosen too. I’m starting to not recognize the feel of my body. Ha. Probably a good thing. I’m completely in love with yoga now. I knew for years I probably needed to start. My body is thanking me a million times over.

My little pups love to watch me do yoga too. When I do a pose lower to the ground, they sometimes come up and want to play. It’s so ridiculously cute! I’m so surrounded by love. I’m so lucky. I need to always remember that. My bad habit is always focusing on what is wrong, what I don’t have, or what I can improve. When that’s the only thing I focus on, I don’t remember all the good. Well I’m changing that. I’m not allowed to thing of those things until after I have consciously thought of all I do have, all I have achieved, all the love I am surrounded by, and how my life is really going pretty damn good. Perspective. I lost it somewhere (if I ever had it at all).

Like yesterday, I did my yoga twice. Once not long after I woke up, and once later on. I like it in the “morning” to loosen me up for the day, and later on it can help me deal with the stresses I’ve experienced during the day. Lately, I’ve had all sorts of stress producing factors. I’m handing things much better. And hitting the yoga mat can help my shift my mind to my body and away from the stress. Which then helps ground me and remind my of how awesome by body is. My body allows me to BE. I need to take care of it. Food is only one aspect. Food is very important. But is isn’t everything.

Speaking of which, my appetite has been a little low today. I really haven’t been very hungry. Instead of my big smoothie/sorbet I went for the hot cocoa today again. Today’s was MUCH better. The only reason I finished my cocoa yesterday is because I didn’t want to waste it. Something wasn’t working with it at all.

Another end to a lovely yoga CR’ed day. Now it’s time to cuddle with QB and the pups and wind down for bed. <3 <3

Basil likes to steal chairs. And clothes. Then tries to look too pathetic for us to move him! Cutie.

Chicky is one chill chihuahua. This is the most layed back chihuahua you will ever meet.
