I bought 2 yoga mags. It seems like an easy enough way to start. I use to think I could never do it on my own. I thought I wouldn’t get it right, and how could I learn all these moves without a teacher. Of course a teacher would be ideal, but my crazy work schedule doesn’t play nice with normal things. Funny to think I was stressing about learning yoga. Funny how I never realized I was stressing over it until I wasn’t.
So, yesterday, I bought 2 yoga magazines. And a mat. A bright pink one. Since it looks happy. I haven’t opened my yoga mags yet, but I’m not stressing over that since I’ve been busy with work. But today is my last day. Which means I’m coming up on a long break. Perfect time to HAVE FUN with yoga. The magazines have some workout plans, and poses. For some reason it seems easier this way than going to a website. Strange for someone who spends so much time on the internet, but then again I do love “real” books. :-)
I am realizing how much I stressed. I’m working on that now. I think I’m doing pretty good! And guess what? It’s okay if I suck at yoga at first. Ha. I am going to get on my pink mat and probably look like I’m flopping around like a fish, but I’m going to have fun. I am going to learn to relax my body while I am learning to relax my mind.
There’s snow on the ground, and a hot fire in our wood stove. What better place to attempt yoga than in the comfort of our old cabin on a snowy day. I’ll make sure I have some good music playing too!
So there we go. I’m going to try yoga. I’m serious this time. But not in a stressed out way. :-D I’m not going to be a yoganista overnight. Or even in a fortnight. But that doesn’t matter one bit. I’m going to relax and have fun. And do some strange stretches too. Ha.
And I’ll get back to posting my yummy eats too! Today I drank some of my favorite store bought carrot juice (Odwalla Carrot Juice in the fridge section) because I haven’t juiced in a few days. It’s so awesome to be able to buy this as a backup juice.
I’m going to enjoy this snowy evening with my wonderful husband who took very good care of me when I was sick. He was wonderful when I was at the hospital – coordinating with the doctors and helping me not freak out. I am so very grateful to have him in my life! He is the love of my life! <3
I am grateful for the health we do have! I am grateful for the wonderful life we have built together over the last 4 years. And I am looking forward to many decades (if not centuries…we can hope) with him.
Things may never be perfect. Days may sometimes be yucky. But always be thankful for the simple things. Food. Shelter. Health. LOVE! In a world where so many struggle for all of these things. I am thankful.

I’ve thought about getting some DVDs. I figured the magazines would get me started, then I could get some DVDs once I got my head wrapped around it all.
Do send links!
I am having a wonderful time learning to relax! Finding joy and happiness in the simple things. Not pressuring myself (that’s a big one). Oh, and I am enjoying the white snow we have now. The mountain side (small mountain side) is so pretty!
