Weight Creeping Down, New Scale in the Mail

Posted on 12 October 2010 by sie

With my food back in control, my weight is slowly falling back off. This morning I was 129lbs, and my pants are once again fitting better. For a short while before my change in meds, I’ll admit that I was a starting to become a little, no quite a bit, terrified at what these meds were doing to my appetite and subsequently my weight. I stressed the importance of my CRON lifestyle to my new doctor, and I will gladly doctor shop to find once that with work with me on this. This lifestyle choice is non-negotiable.

I also have a new bathroom scale in the mail. Free of charge. I got an online gift certificate for completing that health assessment with my work where I learned my cholesterol levels, and decided a new scale was in order. My current one has been acting a little weird, and it is about 7 years old. This new one measures in 0.2lb increments, which is pretty nifty. It should arrive late this week or some time next week.

Still eating my atomic death stew….I mean my Vegan Chipotle Pepper Stew with Super Hot Thai Crushed Chilis. Oh My….my lunch is very exciting now. I take a bite….breathe a little, drink a little, take another bite….bahahahaha. It was hard to get my stew this hot with only ground cayenne. The amount I would have to add was stupid.

Finally, after months of trying to get back to some sort of “normal” after being diagnosed with a chronic illness, I am starting to get that feeling back. Symptoms of the disease are being fairly well managed, symptoms of the medication are being fairly well managed, now I am just putting all the pieces back together and reorienting myself again. I’m still some what doctor shopping, I want to talk to several to find one I really feel comfortable with. It’s kind of strange seeing yourself with an illness you will have to think about having to manage with medication for your whole life. I’m still grasping with this some. QB has had about a decade to come to terms with his diseases, but these are uncharted waters for me. Part of it is scary, but part of it is a relief that I know what has been my problem for a while now. Oh my.

QB is going to be going for at least another week, maybe two. It’s really easy not to snack at home when all of my snacks are gone. Ha. I never buy snack food type items for myself, but occasionally I find my hand in something of his.

Now that we are on the topic of food, let’s get to the daily stuffs. As you can see, I half my brain (apparently the hungry half) decided to finish off my cereal stash at work instead of waiting for my sorbet later on this evening.
