Here I am. I have a full year of CR behind me now. Not a perfect year by any means, but I feel like I know the direction I need to be headed in now. The hard part is the execution. After this last month -with my medications, doctor’s visit’s, and food problem’s- I almost feel like I am beginning CR all over again. My perception and motivations got all turned around, and for a while I just couldn’t think straight (thanks stupid medications making me foggy). Add to these problems my birthday blues I have sunk into each year since I turned 25, and I’ve been in a weird rut. I’m very happy to be finally pulling out of that mud heap.
Currently, I am working on keeping my diet vegan and CR’ed. With my medication induced appetite increase, I was eating closer to normal with compulsive spikes of calories. My meds were changed a little this past Wednesday, which seemed to help the appetite. Ya! Now I’m focusing on keeping my calorie level CR’ed. Once I can consistently control my calorie level again, I will focus on further improving the quality. I still love the idea of minimal if any grains, mostly veggies and greens, and healthy fats.
Persistence.
One personality trait needed for successful CR is persistence. Life never goes as planed. In this last year alone, I have had many potential threats to my motivation. I may not be able to wake up every day like nothing is happening, but I’ll eventually bounce back, and that’s what matters.
Now I begin CR Round II.
I say Round II not because this is my second year, but because I am now practicing CR under different circumstances. I am taking several medications and seeing a doctor weekly which affects me both physically and mentally.
Hopefully, I will get my groove back soon. My serious CR groove. I love it when I am rocking CR. I feel AWESOME! :-)
Today’s food is a little better planned than yesterday’s, but to keep with the foodie-ness of this blog lets post it anyways. Ha.

Thank you so much Ag! I’m going to rock this! My recent health set back is only more of a reason to keep on keeping on. My medication is frustrating at times, but I’m going to get this thing figured out. CR for the win!
