And The Food Adventure of Today Was…

A vegan eggsalad wrap with mango kombucha. QB and I split this on the way home from running errands. There is this really neat locally owned co-op market that made this lovely wrap. Sprouts, carrot, and vegan eggsalad in a fiber rich wrap. Yum. It’s nice to have a place to grab something new, different, vegan, and fairly health conscious. It’s not something I’d eat everyday, but it was a nice change of pace.

Half for me and half for QB. Yum. It had a great texture. I'm really big on the texture of my food.

I didn’t really have any other food adventures or deviations today. Everything was part of my usual food routine, and I didn’t have any crazy compulsive calorie grabs, so my food was on target. I was feeling a little queasy again this morning after I woke up, so I had a few crackers before my morning smoothie.

Speaking of my morning smoothie, lately I have been adding a few more berries and reducing the water to make it very thick. It’s like ice cream for breakfast. But as wonderful as the berries are, it’s the hemp that really makes the shake. I’ve made it without the hemp, and it just tastes one-dimensional now. I’m so spoiled for my hemp. The flax oil is a secondary yet important flavor component that I miss when I forget, but it’s not essential. Take a look at my yummilicous thick shake I at this “morning” (which turned out at be about 2:30pm).

And just for fun I took a picture of my messy juice making beet stained hands. I’m so glad the beet washes off or else I’d be going around with pink palms.

Ha ha ha, look at me so messy. So glad it washes off! This pic was after I'd run the pulp through the juicer about 3 times - must get all the juice out!
