When I was at the health food store yesterday, I decided to try some fennel tea because I heard it helps soothe one’s guts (ahem). I have cooked with fennel, so I could image what the tea would taste like. I do like fennel, but I didn’t want to just drink the tea plain. For some reason, I thought to add some lite coconut milk and a pinch of stevia. I think the combination is unique and enjoyable. In fact, after discovering these two complementary flavors, I want to play around with some new recipe ideas when I get back from my trip.
Fennel Coconut Tea
1 Individual Bag Fennel Tea
30-45g Lite Coconut Milk
Pinch of Stevia
~1.5C Very Hot/Boiling Water
Steep fennel tea in boiling or very hot water for 5-7 minutes. Fennel becomes more potent with heat. Add coconut milk and stevia, stir, and enjoy.
