I wanted something different, and beets seemed like the thing to experiment with this evening. This was my first juice with beet, and I really enjoyed it. However, the ginger is necessary in my opinion. Beets have a strong earthly flavor that I can appreciate, but I don’t want it to be the main flavor. Beets are a good accessory flavor in my opinion, and ginger makes a great dominant flavor. :-)
Here is the recipe. I may add less beet next time, but the ingredient list will remain the same.
Beet Ginger Carrot Kale Juice
(1 large serving)
500g Carrots
350g total weight – 1 Large Beet with Greens
50g Kale
35-40g Ginger
Stevia
Juice all ingredients, pour into jar, add stevia and ice, close lid, shake well. I had fun taking pictures of all the pretty veggies, so here are some yummy looking pictures.
