I’m having fun with the variation lately. I am a creature of habit, so I don’t just change things up without some sort of intervention. With the chaos preparing for my trip, the chickens, and work tiring me out, I’ve had a different past few days with food. Not preparing my food has forced me to be a bit resourceful, and some things I’ve added will stick around a bit. Like my addition of soup. Real soup, not the thick stew soup I make. I like the light soupy tomato red pepper I’ve had the past few days. I think I am going to try one of April’s soup recipes when I get back as well as invent a few of my own.
I also think soup will make a great snack. Soup is fun to eat, and I like to put it in neat mugs and eat it with neat spoons. I’m big on dining experience when I have the opportunity. Consistent lower calories tend to make me want to enjoy the whole eating experience more. Yesterday, my dinner dining experience was less than optimal, but I still enjoyed it. I had a to-do list a million miles long and didn’t have time to make and savor a nice dinner, so I picked up a southwest veggie wrap on the way home and ate it on my short commute.
I don’t eat in the car often except the occasional snack or juice on the way to work. Mainly because I would rather take the time to enjoy my food instead of being distracted by the whole stay on the road thing. It was actually kind of weird eating a MEAL in the car, and I realizing millions do it every day didn’t really help. This is not a habit I will be adopting. Ha. At least the wrap was pretty good.
Well, let’s go over my food for the past two days and what I think I will be eating today.

(I looked up the restaurants in the airport. Not many vegan options, but this hummus thing at Cosi looks good. I may change my mind if I see something better. I decided on the beer to loosen up a bit before flying. I may also change my mind on that, but this is my plan as of now.)

My calorie average over the past 3 days is on the high normal for me, but with all the chicken coop work I’ve done a lot of unusual exercise. I feel hungry, and I feel like my calories have been lower than they are. Exercise tends to do that to me. Here is my approximated numbers. If I change my mind on dinner before I leave at 6pm, I’ll update this. Hopefully, my next update will come Monday night from my parent’s computer. :-)
